Here's a surprise Tutorial for you. Today we Keralites celebrating Onam. So I present a Poly clay Pendant inspired by Kerala Kasavu Saree. It comes in Off white handloom body with Golden or silver jerry boarder paired with complimenting colors of Thread work or embroidery or even painting as well.
Apart from Kerala saree hues, my another inspiration comes from Japanese Jewelry technique
"Shibori". Shibori is a kind of jewelry made with silky material folded , stitched and embellished with Beads, stones . In this #polymerclaytutorial, I’m trying to imitate smooth flowing silk cloth effect with #premosculpey. It mostly resembles #onam attire .
I made a seed bead chain using Eyepins. Seed beads are of assorted size and colors . Refer the vedio. π
The pendant cured 45 minutes in a preheated oven at 275 degree Farenhiet. Cooled Inside Oven . Buffed little. Applied Varnish to protect Surface treatments. Then connected with a handmade beaded Chain. As the chain is pretty long I prefer without clasp.
